February dinner

The popularity of the Guild’s industry dinners remaims as strong as ever. More than 80 people attended the February dinner held at our usual venue Stonebridge Golf Club at Meriden. Comparing it to a large hotel in which he was staying one guest said “Here you get twice the quality at half the price – it’s a winner.”

The Chairman’s charity raffle produced some other winners too. Each won a prize kindly donated by our Friend Sponsors. The raffle raised £960 for the Kidscan, the children’s’ cancer charity.

The response on behalf of the guests was given by Nick Page, Commercial Director of The Swift Group. He reflected that, given recent takeovers, some 80% of the UK’s RV production was now from just three players. What’s more he thought further developments might be in the pipeline.

It’s a fascinating industry and one the Guild will always be ready to serve.
