Guild dinner breaks all records

The guests at Guild dinners are well known for their generosity in supporting the Chairman's charity but February's dinner was a show stopper.

There is no doubt that the choice of a small charity that helps children to fight cancer helped to open a few wallets but the short talk given by Kidscan's chief fundraiser, Lowri Turner, really tugged at the heart strings of many. By the end of the evening the grand sum of £1,770 had been raised from the raffle and other donations.

A further sum of £1,200 was handed to Lowri on behalf of a magazine that had been independently raising money since October when the charity was first adopted by the Chairman. This brings the amount raised during the evening to £2,970 and the total raised so far £4,085 - a sum of which we can all be justifiably proud.
